Cultivation
Lord,
Help me to remember that seeds sometimes need to be cultivated.
Sometimes, seeds need planting and watering.
You provide the soil, the sunshine, and the rains, but sometimes, water has to be brought to the flowers for them to grow.
May you help me to keep your gifts in my buckets so that I might help the seeds to grow: seeds in myself and seeds in others that sometimes need a little TLC.
For your goodness is all around me. The task of carrying the buckets full of water to others is all that's necessary because you provide the rest of what is needed.
Help me to remember this and act upon it.

Lord,
Help me today to see pink all around me. You have place so much pink near me lately that I cannot ignore it. Help me to reflect on the beauty you have given me so that I might reflect your beauty back to others.

Reaching for You
Lord,
Help me to be steady today. I ask for even handedness as I work and drive and speak (and take pictures).
Breathe on me, that I might let kindness flow through my hands and words and spirit.
Let me steal from St. Francis and ask that you make me an instrument of your peace.
For where there is peace, there is mercy. Your mercy.
Let me see You, Lord. I know You listen and hear. Let me listen and hear what others say and not just what I think they are saying. In listening to others, let me reach for you. Let me reach for understanding.

You Are Near!
Lord,
Show me how to always be near you, even when it seems that I would be burned.
Your majesty inspires me. Lord, teach me to always let it inspire me.
Lord,
Even when times look dark and dreadful, tap me on the shoulder and help me to see through my own cloudiness until I see You.
For it is only when I see You around me that I will strive to see You in others.

Awake
Lord,
I am tired today. Help me to become awake.
Help me to stay awake.
Help me to be more than awake but to function today and function well!
Help me to have the good sense to come home at a reasonable time from my day's work so that I can go to bed early.
Ok, I'm still waking up. I'll repeat myself, not because You didn't hear but because I have a thick skull. Help me, Lord, to have the good sense to go to bed early tonight so that I am not tired tomorrow!
Now that I have the correct celestial body in my brain...
Amen!
